The Blue Bottle sleeps 8-10 in a beautifully renovated house with full kitchen and sweeping views of the Arkansas River valley. It’s a dream location for your next outdoor adventure with friends or family, and includes communal spaces with a firepit, grill, horseshoes, and much more. It's only a 20 minute drive to restaurants and other attractions in beautiful Salida.

Best of all, you get wading access to world-class fishing on the Arkansas River.

March Club Meeting

Thanks to everyone who came out to our March club meeting at Orvis. Johnny Jackson gave a great presentation on caddis flies. Jud Parker offered some tips to get ready for the spring season. And Justin Allsop gave us a chance to get our hands on the new Orvis Superfine Graphite rods - they will put a smile on your face for sure. A big thank you to Lesley Allen and Orvis for hosting us in March!

Mid-South Fly Fishers Member Spotlight:
Frank Dawson
grew up in Memphis, graduated from Memphis State, was an Air Force fighter pilot, became an avid fly fisherman/tyer, and managed a guide school in Montana. Recently Frank decided it was time to significantly (but not completely) reduce his extensive inventory of fly fishing gear, books, and tying materials. You may have seen some of it at the Expo and Christmas party. We want to thank Frank for his generous donation to MSFF and hope to fulfill his wish of getting it into the hands of fly fishers and fly tyers who can put it to good use. He also has done an excellent job of writing about his joy of fly fishing; click the buttons below for a great read!
